Anyways, so today has been a bit rough for me and I need to vent. If you wish to not view my ranting then move along, otherwise it's under the cut.

12:47 pm - Update
|
So, here goes that update I keep meaning to do....
I'm still working at Upstate. My last day at Mutts is Feb 22nd. It was a hard decision to leave there, but I am glad that I made it. I am so tired all the time and actually want to have a life outside of work. I told Doug I would keep in touch and will maybe work every once in a while for holidays and major catering days to help out and give me a tiny bit of extra cash flow.
David moved in with me about 3 weeks ago. I love living with him. We have so much fun and I look forward to every night when we spend about an hour just cuddling and reading together. I am soooo happy with him and I can't wait until December 27! Because, (as most of you know actually) we are getting married!! Right now we are still looking at places, but if the place we have in mind is as great as we have heard, we will be getting married there.
I don't know what else to really say right now. So! I guess I am done. Love you all and see some of you tonight! =)

15. "Come a day there won't be room for naughty men like us to slip about at all. This job goes south, there well may not be another. So here is us, on the raggedy edge. Don't push me, and I won't push you. Dong-luh mah?"

1:11 pm - Wow.. long time no write!
|
So, I was thinking about how I haven't updated this since March.. and so much has happened since then!!
I moved home on March 11th. I had a very long day! I left Bellingham at 6:30 am via shuttle and arrived at the Charlotte airport around midnight... it was ridiculous. I was jobless for quite sometime but I now have two jobs.
I got hired at Mutt's BBQ on the 31st of March.. right after I told Doug I could work dayshift, USC Upstate called me about a job application I had put in through them for a part time position. I was at this point still planning to teach in public school. Heidi, the director of the CDC on campus said she thought I should apply for the full time position. I did and I started teaching Early Preschool on April 7th. So, I now work at USCU M-F and then at Mutts I work night shift on M, W, every other F and every Sunday. I love both of my jobs, though it will be nice when I get a roommate or something and can quit mutts' I'm quite tired!
Oh, that's another thing, I have an apartment now. I moved into Autumn Park apartments on May 17th. I have a two bedroom apt with a sunroom.. I love it! I get lonely though. I have a new kitty as well. Her name is Gracie Lou and she is gray and white. She is 5 years old and she has an attitude that I love... haha.
I went to see Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in concert the day after my birthday! It was absolutely amazing! I loved it so much and hopefully he will come this way again sometime so that I can go again. I had the best time! Alma and Ryland came to visit and we went to Charleston! I got to finally finally finally meet Brooke's super cute baby. I will post pics if I can ever get my computer to work correctly! She is amazing!!
I have been hanging out with Regina, Sarah and Kim a lot! Also, Heather!! I love them all and am so glad I moved back home.
Ian and I still talk pretty much every day. It's nice to be able to be close with him even though we broke up.
I went on 2 dates. They both sucked, if you want to know why, ask. lol
I HAVE A CAR! Haha I almost forgot! I bought my own car, I'm so proud of myself. It's old amd stuff, but I bought it, all by myself! YAY!
Well, I guess that's a basic update...

5:19 pm - Oh journal, how I neglect you
|
So yea, I know I know, it's been a long long time! Anyways so here is what's going on with me.
I have been working a lot, I need some time off and to myself, so it's good that I have Thanksgiving and the day after off! I have some good children and I also have some very difficult ones right now, so I have been tense and stressed. Friday was a horrible day for me, I cried in my room during nap time. I am ok though.
I got to talk to Alma today! It was great! I have missed her so much. Hopefully she will get to visit me in Jan or April. I also plan to put a down payment on a Toyota Yaris. They are inexpensive and cute cars that will last a while bc they are toyota so yay for a new car! It will be several months before I can do this, but it will be awesome when I can!
Not alot is going on right now. Ian and I are doing well. The kitties are good. My family is good and work is ok I guess. The holidays are almost upon us though, let the craziness begin. Unfortunately I will not be coming home in Dec. it is just not affordable for me right now. I plan to save and stay an extra week this summer. which is good.
ok that;s it for this time.

5:23 pm - Ah finally... an update!
|
So I haven't done a real update in a while, so I guess I should :P
The last time I posted, I was feeling like super tired, yea I most definitely woke up the next morning with the worst case of flu ever. I felt like I was dying :( I had a 103.5 temperature, about an hour and a half after taking meds. I worked part of that Friday morning and then was sent home, and didn't return to work until the next Thursday. After the flu was gone, I got what seemed to be a sinus infection and then was out a Thursday and Friday that next week because I had a 24 hour stomach bug or something. Personally I believe it was a crazy mutated flu, haha. But, I'm finally back to normal for the most part, which is awesome and luckily Ian never caught the flu or got sick at all, which would have been horrible, since he has finals now.
Work is still going great. I start taking classes on the 26th again. Yes, I said CLASSES! I'm taking 5 short classes to get more money at work and have some starter credits on my masters. I toyed with the idea of starting my masters online , but unfortunately do not have the money right now. (it was 15,000 through U of Phoniex) But maybe one day I will be able to afford it and make more monies! So yea , the five classes I will be taken will end at the end of June. By then I will be making about 75 cents more an hour, which will be nice. Our center has what is called the Wage Ladder, where you are paid based on your number of early childhood classes, which works out GREAT for me since my bachelors is in ECE. YAY! So I can't wait to have these classes. I'm also going to take a few $10 classes just for the benefit of having some extra stuff, yay.
Ian and I are looking for a new place to live. Our lease here ends on June 1 and we aren't entirely pleased with things here, so we are trying to move to these places right down the street, which look super nice! The 2 bedroom is a bit pricey for us, but the one bedroom should work out nicely, Ian will go check it out tomorrow. They showed us a 2 bedroom, and it was great, but is more than we pay now and the whole point of us moving is to save some $$. Hopefully the 1 bedroom is great as well. The one we looked at had HUGE windows, and a great view of the Canadian Rockies (yay! so pretty!!!) so I'm hoping the one bedroom is nice too. AND !!! It has a FULL SIZE washer and dryer. Right now ours is teeny tiny, which sucks, it takes like 2 days to do all of our laundry from 5 days, not cool. So hopefully by the end of May we will be moving up the hill to Ashley/Bryon street, mwahahahahah.
The kitties are growing, they are almost a year old. Jane has discovered she likes to sleep under the covers which is funny. Enzo LOVES the laser pointer, hehe.
Ian and I are doing great as well. We are heading to Seattle this weekend to celebrate our 3.5 years anniversary. It was actually the 13th, but Ian was super busy with school so we wanted to wait till after finals. I can't wait to have a weekend away, yay!
Hm... what else? Oh yea, I've been reading a TON lately. Ian has me hooked on the Sword Of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. It's pretty much awesome, hehe. I started about 2 weeks ago ( i think ) and am already on book 3. Each book is about 700 pages or more. They are SO good!
My kids and I are working on a cool art project. Our theme this week and next week is Imaginary Creatures, so one of the girls at work let me borrow this Fantasy cookbook that has a map in it covering Fairies, Merpeople, GNomes, Amazons and pretty much everything, lol. I drew a really big version of the map and have been trying to get it colored in so that we can use it as a play mat next week. My kids are really interested in it and seem to be intrigued. We also made an underwater castle for our mermaids and mermen. hehe.
I can't wait to see my people when I'm at home in July/August, heheheheheh. I love you all!!! See you in a few months :)

Well, I was nudged by Miss Regina a few weeks ago to do a post, so I guess I will :)
I haven't updated since early Jan, so I guess I'll start there. Everything is still going well here in good ole washington. I'm still incredibly happy to be living here and while I have always LIKED my job, I am learning to LOVE it more and more each day. My kids are amazing for the most part. Presley Jane makes my day (most days, lol) and we have invented several games including, the green bean game, the poking game, and who can count the highest without breathing. The green bean game is a lunch game, we all are eating and on the days we have green beans (obviously) we open them up and count how many beans are on the inside, but before we open them, we estimate how many are inside. A special rule I made up is that if you open the green bean, you have to eat it. haha, it sounds silly but it's actually tons of fun and nice to see the kids doing math without them realizing it ;) The poking game is where we all sit in a circle and poke the person next to us, the person we poke has to laugh louder than we did when we got poked. It gets pretty loud, but it's so much fun and the kids love it. The counting game is pretty self explanatory. :) Something else my kids have discovered is that singing songs they know in different tones is fun too. We clap the ABCs and sing them very quietly till we get to the end and then pretty much yell it then get quiet again. I LOVE doing circle time with them because we sing Baby Bumblebee and Twinkle Twinkle Little Starfish (yes that's right, I said STARFISH! :) )
Ok, enough about work ;)
Ian and I are doing great, we had a pretty low key valentine's day because our 3.5 year anniversary is next month and we want to do something bigger then. He's been super busy with school also and has been reading constantly it seems. The kitties are doing so well. We got them a cool 74 inch cat condo, they love it. Jane climbs up it like a monkey, hehe. Jane has also discovered how to open the cabinet doors, only thing is, she gets in there and she can't figure out how to get out. So we end up having to save her. We tried to get some of those child safety things, but our cabinets are special and they don't fit right.
So for those of you in Spartanburg, my mom tells me that George Clooney is filming a movie at the Junior High (or 9th grade campus, whatever) That's crazy, why in Boiling Springs?!?!?!
On another note, a few months ago, on the bus I noticed that the empty field across the street from our complex has several tents and stuff in it, there seem to be homeless people living there, it's kind of weird. I know that there were homeless people back home, duh, but I guess never seen it so open? Anyway, so it's just weird seeing tents and stuff in middle of nowhere. So, there are also crazy drunk people on the bus. Today a guy fell out of his seat and rolled to the front of the bus (he was asleep) but he was also VERY intoxicated. It was special.
I really really miss my girls and others from home. I do have great news though! :) July 28, Ian and I are flying home for 2 weeks (Ian is only staying one though) We go to the beach from the 29-aug 5 and then Ian leaves on the 6th. I will be in town until the 11th. I fly into and out of Charlotte, but great news is that I may be able to drive my car. Mom and Dad are trying to work it out that I can be added back to insurance for the time that I'm home and will be able to drive and stuff while Im there. I'll have to drive to the beach too, but the truck only holds 5 people and we'll have 6 with Ian :P We're going to Edisto and staying in my mom and dad's fancy camper for a week. Ian, me and my brothers get to share a room and 4 teeny bunk beds, but I think it will be fun. So hopefully I will be able to see people while I'm there!!
Anyway, off to work on this thing for Alma then to bed, night!

10:37 pm - Update
|
So my trip home was fabulous. Both flights were actually really really good, almost no turbulence at all! Christmas day with Ian was awesome, we've never been able to be together on the actual day before, so it was really nice :) We got to see his dad and Sandy. On New Year's weekend we went to Tacoma to see Derek (Ian's brother) and his girlfriend, Mary. It was fun :) Having a few days off of work was nice too!!
This past week or so has been crazy at work. A child had a seizure, which scared the hell out of me :(, I had to call CPS, and it was just a very stressful week. SO many people are rude and disrespectful!!! However, Cole, one of the greatest kids ever is coming back tomorrow!! But, Jaycob, another one of my best kids is leaving on the 19th, it makes me sad :(
Enzo and Jane are doing fabulously. They are getting so big, hehe. I love them! They are so sweet, hehe. Ian and I are also doing well. I am so glad I moved here with him. :) I love living here, hehe.
Ok, so I guess that wasn't so much of an update, but oh well. Bye!

3:04 pm - SC
|
So i'm back in Sc until Wednesday. While both flights were uneventful, the airport was not, lol. My first flight was delayed because of power outages and such, we've had some pretty bad storms in WA lately. Dallas was pretty blah as well. Not that it was crowded or anything, I think it's just because I was really tired and it was 6 am and I just wanted to be on the next plane. I got home around 10 am yesterday. My day was very full with errands and returning to the airport to pick up my luggage (they put my bag on a later flight bc I took an earlier one, long story) and napping of course and then getting ready for major family time.
So I got to hang out with two of my cousins last night, I am the only girl grandchild on my mom's side of the family. So Since I'm the only girl, the boys try hard to make me feel like "one of the guys" lol. By the way, my brothers are massive tallness now as well as Rob and Matt. It's insane, I will post a picture when I get back because I look like I'm twelve, haha.
Doree and Mr. Wiggles seemed pleased to see me, as well as the rest of the animals. Mr. Wiggles is all about my bed now, since I'm the only one who lets him on it.
It's nice to be back in SC for a few days, especially when it is so warm, but Washington is my home now. I can't wait to get back to it! :) However, I need my friends from here to move there as well :)
Well, I guess I'm off to shower and wait for Regina to call me back!

So, one of my kids at work sings that I can't take my eyes off you song by Frank Valli. She screams it and dances and it makes me smile. so I thought I would share :)
This is the part she sings: "I love you baby and if it's quite alright I need you baby" and then she just kind of mumbles. I wish you guys could see her, it's absolutely adorable. I'm thinking of making a video and posting it so you guys can see.

Well I guess I should update, even though there isn't much to update about. haha.
Things here are going great. I love living with Ian and I am so glad we are finally able to do so after such a long period of time :) Ian now has me hooked on this Astro Empires online game. It's really addictive. They are preparing for war, and we are searching for this guy who has lots of monies for Ian to steal. People have planets that they build on, etc. And this guy had basically done nothing, so we are trying to find all of his planets to break into ;)
I'm loving work still, though some stupidity with some kids has happened lately and I really miss the ones that left so far. :( I like the people I work with for the most part. Last week, one of the girls from work came over with her daughter and had dinner with me and Ian.
I really miss people back home. One of us needs to invent a teleporter soon. Because I need to see my friends and family! I'm excited to come home for a few days, but I don't think I'll be able to see everyone, I hope I can see you guys though!
It's been cold and rainy here, and even when it's not raining, it's still pretty cold. And thanks to the time change it will now be super dark by the time I get home every night :( *cries*
Anyways, Ian is harassing me to get offline, guess this is it for now :)
